Rental Car Shuttle buses operate between the terminals and the Rental Car Center, every 10 minutes; however, it operates "on demand" between 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
While the Rental Car Center is open 24 hours a day, travelers should check with their car rental agency's reservation center for hours of operation at OAK and make arrangements for special arrival and departure requests.

Picking
Up Rental Cars
Take the Rental Car Shuttle from terminals to Rental Car Center. If you are picking up a vehicle from an off-airport rental car agency, you will have to transfer to an off-airport rental car agency shuttle. (Call from terminals or Rental Car Center to arrange transfer at Rental Car Center).

Dropping
Off Rental Cars
If you are returning to an on-airport rental car agency, you will return your vehicle to the Rental Car Center. If you are returning your vehicle to an off-airport rental car agency, you will need to take the off-airport rental car agency shuttle to Rental Car Center to transfer to Rental Car Shuttle for transportation to terminals.

*If you plan to check your luggage, plan to arrive at airline ticket counters at least 90 minutes prior for domestic departures and two hours prior for Hawaii and international departures, or as directed by your airline.
Oakland International Airport's Rental
Car Center houses all on-airport rental car agencies in one location.
This facility is at the airport's North Field less than 10 minutes
from the terminals.
